IBPS RRB Eligibility 2026

Educational Qualification

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose), candidates need a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent. Knowledge of computers is desirable, while proficiency in the prescribed local language is an important requirement.

For Officer Scale I, a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required. IBPS gives preference to candidates with qualifications in areas such as Agriculture, IT, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy. For Officer Scale II General Banking Officer, candidates need a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and two years of experience as an officer in a bank or financial institution.

Specialist Officer eligibility varies considerably by post. For example, the Scale II IT Officer requires a relevant degree in Electronics/Communication, Computer Science or Information Technology with at least 50% marks and one year of relevant experience.

Negative Marking
